Fitzroy Pool

The pool was designed to promote social interaction between the community members which is referred to as “Fitzroyalty”. Inspiration for the design of the pool was taken from the streets of Fitzroy and its surrounding areas.

The design focuses on the flexibility and functionality of the interior and exterior. The floor plan was designed to open the space and connect the reception with the café and outdoor area. The floor plan’s ergonomics and flowing nature contrast the tessellation of geometric patterns featured in the lighting structure above the reception.

The raw textures of concrete and natural stone are balanced by the warm hues of wooden cabinets and moody wall panels. The eclectic mixture of furniture gives a distinct style and atmosphere corresponding with the vibe of the suburb.

Accents of vibrant reds are used throughout space, which offers a playful dynamic. Carefully selected materials and finishes plays an essential role in creating a truly unique space.
